Frequently Asked Questions
Here's a selection of some questions we are often asked - if you can't find the answer you're looking for here, contact us and we'll see if we can help.
If I'm collecting, how do I find you?
Click here to view a map with directions and transport links to our office.
Please note that generally we do not supply poster tubes for posters that are being collected. However, these are available to purchase for £2 upon collection.
What file type should I provide my artwork in?
Your files should be uploaded as JPEG, TIFF or PDF. Virtually all popular desktop publishing, photo editing software, and presentation tools will export to one of these formats.
Always select the highest quality possible, so that the finished result will be of the highest possible quality.
Can I supply artwork as a Microsoft PowerPoint file?
Sorry, we can't accept PowerPoint files. Follow these instructions to save your file as a PDF or JPEG, which we can definitely print from. Unfortunately, text and images within original PowerPoint files can look different on our system, so they aren't suitable to be printed from.
Do you offer a laminating service?
Sorry, we don't offer laminating. The finish of our posters is excellent and does not require lamination for display. If you are using posters outdoors, we can print on a water and tear resistant paper. This is a special order, please contact us for pricing and further details.
What paper do you use?
We have several types of paper, all stocked by HP, and each produces a great finish. Our standard satin photo paper (235gsm) provides a photo, semi-gloss finish ideal for eye-catching artwork. Our matte paper (270gsm) is thicker and has no shine. We also stock an outdoor self-adhesive matte paper, which is great for signs.
Can I supply the artwork on a CD/USB stick and wait while my poster is printed?
We don't have any waiting facilities while we print posters, and to save you time, it is best if orders are placed online. However, if you have many large files (over 100 mb) we are happy to take these on CD or USB stick, and can advise you when your posters will be ready for collection.
Why are you so cheap?
We are such good value for money because we don't have an expensive high street shop. We also keep our prices low by processing your orders online, although all orders are checked by a member of our team to make sure that the files are of adequate resolution and are the correct dimensions. Please help us by placing your orders online, but if you still have questions, we're more than happy to answer those for you.
We can continue to keep these prices low if you help us by:
- Supplying your artwork to the size you'd like it printed and in the correct proportions – view our sizing chart here for help with this.
- Supply a high resolution file, in any of the 3 formats we accept
- Place your order and pay online
If I'm a recurring customer can I get a discount?
Yes, we are able to offer discounted rates on any of our poster printing services if you regularly order from us. Please contact one of the team who will be able to help further.
Does my poster artwork need bleed?
No, we do not require bleed to be added to posters. However, it is not a problem if bleed is already added to your artwork.
